Sebastian was whelped on 2/2/2007 in a litter of 11 puppies.  His litter was the first litter of our girl Reese.  We bred Reese to Travis (CH RiverCity's Travlin Man, JC, ROM) and this litter produced four AKC Champions - Sebastian, Jessie-Jane, Hannah, and Kibo.

Sebastian is co-owned by Kathy and Bill Stredney and was shown to his championship by his owner, Kathy.  She had never shown a dog before so both she and Sebastian learned the show routine and they did a wonderful job!

At 11 months old, Sebastian won his first 4-point major at the very prestigious Inland Empire Hound Specialty with an entry of over 90 ridgebacks.  He finished his championship with 4-4 point majors and a 2 pt win for a total of 18 conformation points - all owner handled!

Kathy and Sebastian have ventured into the very competitive Best of Breed ring going up against top ranked dogs with nationally known handlers.  They have won multiple Best of Breed titles,  2 RRCUS Medallions,  and a 1st Award of Merit at the Palm Springs Kennel Club show with an entry of over 100 ridgebacks.  He also has his AKC Grand Champion title which gave him an entry to the Eukanuba Dog Show 2011.

His owner is a current member of RRCUS and has also attained a "Canine Good Citizen" title on Sebastian.  Sebastian and Kathy are now going to move from the conformation ring into the Rally ring.  Sebastian is a natural and so eager to please that Rally should be a breeze for him and Kathy.  Kathy is also going to get his TDI title as well as work toward getting a HIT (herding instinct title) on him as well.  There is nothing Sebastian won't try - as long as "mommy" is near by!

Sebastian is a gentle soul.  He loves people and is eager to get a pat on his head from a stranger.  He is also a protector when the need arises and knows when danger is near and acts accordingly.  He is a strong boy with correct movement, a deep chest, strong and flat topline, good bone that is not overdone, strong under jaw, and a nice red wheaten coat.  He is truly a wonderful boy who is an ambassador for his breed.

Some of Sebastian's offspring are making their way into the show ring and doing great.  Upcoming breedings are being planned so call if you are interested in one of his puppies.  480.767.8000
