About Us...
Thank you for visiting our web site and now let us tell you a little bit about us. We are located in Scottsdale, Arizona where our dogs have plenty of room to roam and play. Our dogs are part of our family and our love and affection shows in the temperament of our dogs.This journey of owning/raising/breeding Ridgebacks began back in 1997. Our son, Chris, at the age of 11, researched every breed and decided to own a Ridgeback. He contacted a breeder, who was reluctant to talk to a young boy about owning a dog, and bought our first Ridgeback, Cybil. Our love for this breed grew each year and we have been adding to our "brood" ever since. We currently have seven Ridgebacks in our home, and one English Pointer, Star.
We are very hands on from the breeding of our dogs to the raising of our puppies. Our puppies grow into confident adults through the introduction of a variety of experiences when they are young. We provide "puppy agility" and "puppy play dates" and we socialize them with older dogs, children and different adults. When it comes time to choose an owner for our puppies, we make every effort to ensure each puppy is the perfect match for its future family.
We are very selective in the breeding process. We only breed Championed dogs who have passed all of their health screenings. When old enough, our dogs have their OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) screenings done on their hips and elbows, we have cardiac and CERF eye exams done, they go through a Thyroid test and they have a BAER hearing test done.
We feed our puppies and mature dogs only the highest quality , all natural, and preservative free foods available on the market. Such as Honest Kitchen, Natural Balance, Missing Link, and Solid Gold dog foods.
Our family, Bob, Lin, Taylor and Aura take pride in our dogs and we would love to talk to you about owning a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
